Gov. Bob Riley kept his promise today when a plaque of the Ten Commandments was put on display in the old Supreme Court library.
Nearly 200 people marched to the Capitol complex last Thursday asking Riley to display the plaque.
Riley and Attorney General Bill Pryor had come under criticism for not taking a more active role in defending suspended Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore's battle to keep a Ten Commandments Monument in the rotunda of the Alabama Judicial Building.
Pryor issued a statement today praising the display and urged Alabamians to visit the state Capitol.
