The U.S. Post Office is joining the effort to find 11-year-old Heaven LaShae Ross. Heaven mysteriously vanished two weeks ago, Aug. 19 while walking to her school bus stop in Northport.
Now, the Postal Service is mailing out thousands of fliers to people in Tuscaloosa County. It represents the largest attempt to reach out to as many people as possible in the search for LaShae. It's also the first time the state of Alabama and the Postal Service have used mass mail in a missing persons case.
Investigators hope the flyers will turn up leads in the case. Ross, known to her friends as Shae, was also featured on the Fox television program "America's Most Wanted." Police said so far there have been no major leads.
