Wiregrass United Way

The Wiregrass Area United Way kicked off its 2003-2004 campaign Thursday night with a tailgate party.

Business leaders and United Way volunteers teamed up for the event held at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds.

Officials announced the United Way goal for the campaign is $2.2 million. That's the groups most aggressive goal ever. The campaign lasts for three months.

One way you can contribute this month is by pumping your fuel at any Herndon Shell Gas station. They'll donate a penny per gallon of gas you pump to the Wiregrass United Way.
