City of Enterprise Insurance Increase

Employees in Enterprise may soon shell out more money for health insurance.

Due to a substantial increase in premiums, the state group insurance for Enterprise is going up by $165,000 next fiscal year.

Mayor Tim Alford says the budget simply can't continue to absorb such price hikes.

Employees will most likely have to pay higher costs for their dependants' insurance.

It's not just Enterprise, nearly all Alabama cities and counties covered by the state insurance plan are expected to see large increases.
