Dewey E. Emfinger, founder and owner of Emfinger Steel Company, died Monday night after a brief illness. He was 87 years old.
Mr. Emfinger was a resident of Dothan for the past 70 years.
He opened Emfinger Steel Company in 1950 which continues to operate Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 4 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan. Burial will follow at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church.
