450+ Pot Plants Go Up in Smoke

Holmes County Sheriff Tim Brown announces two more successful days of eradicating domestic grown marijuana in Holmes County.

On Wednesday with the assistance of a helicopter from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Wild Life Officers, and investigators from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office were able to confiscate and destroy 292 mature marijuana plants from northwest Holmes County.

On Thursday the Alabama Bureau of Investigation was conducting aerial detection on the state line and discovered an additional 175 plants in the area of County Road 163 in Holmes County.

Sheriff Brown said in response to this operation “this was one of the most productive two days of eradication that we have had this year. Not only in the number of plants seized, but these plants were mature.” Sheriff Brown also said “I appreciate the assistance of all agencies involved in this operation and the information that the public has provided.”
