If you're looking for something fun to do this holiday season, why not catch a ride down the Chattahoochee River.

The Chattanooga Star is a 65-foot, side-paddle riverboat from Chattanooga, Tennessee.

And starting this week you can hop on board near Columbia for a trip down the Chattahoochee.

Friday through Sunday the boat will depart on one-hour excursions. And each Saturday morning, a special three-hour lock cruise will take passengers downstream through the lock at George Andrews Dam.

You can ride the riverboat from December 2nd until the 21st. It costs 8 dollars for adults and 6 dollars for children for the one-hour ride and 20 dollars for adults, 12 dollars per child for 3-hour rides.

Dec 2nd – 21st
$8.00 adults/$6.00 children (one hour ride)
$20.00 adults/$12.00 children (3 hour ride)
Landmark Park at 794-3452
