Esto Firebombing

The investigation is continuing into a firebombing at a store under construction in Northwest Florida.

Jose Martinez and Wilson Rosario can hardly believe what happened. An arson fire destroyed the inside of a gift shop they were opening which is located adjacent to their convenience store along Highway 79 in Esto.

Somewhere between 1:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Monday morning, a lighted bottle with a flammable substance was thrown into the building.

Nearly a year ago, Jose and Wilson moved from New York City to open the Esto business.

Esto's volunteer fire chief says it's lucky that the flames didn't ignite the nearby gas pumps.

Anyone with information on the firebombing of the Esto business should call the Holmes County Sheriff's Department at 850-547-3681.

The owners are offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
