Pilots Arrested

Two pilots for America West Airlines are in hot water and charged with trying to fly their plane while they were both drunk.

It happened at Miami International Airport.

Forty-four-year-old Pilot Thomas Cloyd and 40-year-old co-pilot Christopher Hughes had begun taxing the plane for takeoff, when they were called back to the terminal by police.

The incident started when Cloyd and Hughes went through a screening station holding cups of coffee.

Security officials told them they couldn't take the drinks with them, but the pair reportedly became belligerent and security called police saying they smelled alcohol on their breath.

Miami-Dade Police gave the two men breathalyzer tests. They said the pilots blew over the legal limit of .08 and were arrested.
