Bryan in Court

Bond has been set for a Dothan teen-ager charged with killing his brother and trying to kill his parents.

Eighteen-year-old Anthony Paul Bryan was just 14 in February of 1999 when he allegedly killed his brother with a shotgun and wounded his mother.

Police said the boy's father managed to wrestle the gun away from the teen-ager as he fled the scene.

District Attorney Doug Valeska said Bryan told police he intended to kill everyone in the house and get away in the family car.

District Judge John Steensland set Bryan's bond at a quarter of a million dollars.

The teen faces at least 20 years in prison if he's convicted.
