High Speed Chase

A high-speed chase came to an abrupt halt Monday in Dothan and landed a fugitive in jail.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Dunn and Webb roads on the city's eastside.

Police say 44-year-old Dale Brooks wrecked his motorcycle while trying to outrun police.

He managed to get away from officers earlier this month by speeding away down a dirt road.

This time, when it appeared he was trying the same trick, officers were waiting for him at the end of Dunn Road.

Brooks was taken to a hospital where he was treated and turned over to police.

He was already wanted on traffic charges and misdemeanor warrants. Now officers say he can add wreckless endangerment and attempting to elude police to the list.
