Ten Commandments

Supporters of suspended Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore gathered in Montgomery Sunday to pray for Moore's exoneration in his upcoming ethics trial.

Moore goes before the Court of the Judiciary Wednesday on charges that he violated judicial ethics by refusing to obey U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson's order that he remove the Ten Commandments monument from the state judicial building.

About 50 people attended the rally.

The event kicked off a four-day, five-city tour in which Moore supporters will call on Alabamians to contact members of the court.

Organizers also hope to encourage local and state governments across the nation to post the Ten Commandments in government buildings.
