Student Killed

An 18-year-old student accused of going on a middle school campus with a gun that later was used to shoot a ninth-grader pleaded NOT guilty Tuesday.

Dewonn Farrow was charged with carrying a weapon onto school property, a felony. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of reckless conduct.

Police say the revolver was used by 14-year-old Terrell Poe, who has been charged with the shooting death Bianca Walton. Walton, a Carver High freshman, was shot once in the back Thursday.

Police say Walton was among a group of students gathering to witness a fight between Poe and 14-year-old Nico Fitzpatrick.

Farrow, a student at Carver High School, was arrested Friday after police found a .38-caliber revolver inside a closet at his home. He was released from jail after posting bonds totaling more than $11,000.
