Suspicious Package

A suspicious package found at a Wiregrass bank Monday turned out to be a bottle of household chemicals.

A Daleville city employee spotted an unusual object in the parking lot at Community Bank and Trust on Daleville Avenue.

Police called the Dothan Haz-Mat Team to help investigate.

After preliminary tests, they decided it was caustic cleaner, nothing explosive.

The bottle and its contents were sent to Dothan for further testing.

Business within a 300-foot radius were evacuated and a stretch of the highway was blocked off for four hours.
