Blue Cross/Blue Shield

Blue Cross/Blue Shield is doing its part to make it easier for paramedics to access your medical information before you get to the hospital.

Houston County is the first place in the nation to take part in the new Emergency Patient Information program or EPI.

It works like this, you log onto the Internet to register at www.myepi.net. Providing information such as blood type, allergies and current medications.

You can enter as much or as little information as you like. When you are finished, all you have to do is print out a card for your wallet.

You do not have to have Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance to participate in this program.
