An inmate was pronounced dead on Thursday at the Pike county Jail, after using a bed sheet to hang himself.
Forty-one-year-old Johnny Coleman was found dead Thursday morning in the Day Room section of the cell while the other seven inmates were asleep.
Coleman had been in the jail since August 23rd on a probation violation warrant.
Officials say Coleman was disappointed no one visited on Wednesday on Visiting Day, as well as because eight new warrants were served that day.
The case is under investigation. However, foul play is not suspected.
