A Northwest Florida man was killed in a car accident in Jackson County Thursday.
Sixty-six-year-old Bernard Eugene Starks of Freeport, Florida was traveling on State Road 75 when his car collided on the sidewalk.
Starks apparently overcorrected, crossed the southbound lanes of traffic and went airborne into a steep embankment.
The car landed against a tree, standing on its rear end.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
