Two women are introducing South Alabama to a new way to sell a home.
Melissa Thorton and Phoebe Coaker have created a business that's geared to "staging" a home.
The businesswomen work with realtors and individuals to make a home look like it hasn't been lived in, which increases its resale value.
The work that may be performed in a home could include moving furniture and re-painting, depending on what would add value to the property.
"People don't understand that you need to de-clutter your house and get it ready to go on the market, instead of leaving it the way you live in, because buyers want to be able to move their stuff in. That's what we do. We make it buyer ready" says Thorton.
This is the only staging business in southeast Alabama.
