Six people have been arrested in Northwest Florida on drug charges after authorities busted a meth lab.

The arrests came after an undercover investigation in Shalimar.

Shalimar is located in Okaloosa County and is about 121 miles Southwest of Dothan.

Eighteen-year-old Anthony Aiello and 22-year-old Russell Simmons face charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Twenty-two-year-old Elizabeth Smith, 46-year-old Frank Smith, 32-year-old James White and 19-year-old Staci Jones are all charged with possession of methamphetamine.

In addition, Staci Jones is charged with possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Authorities raided an illegal methamphetamine lab Wednesday afternoon.

The investigation began last spring, after area citizens reported suspicious activity at the Seventh Street home in Shalimar.

During the raid, officers seized a number of materials and chemicals used in making methamphetamine.
