Curing Childhood Cancer License Plates

The Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles has approved the "Curing Childhood Cancer" license plate.

It will be available for pre-purchase beginning this month.

Proceeds from the tag will help fund pediatric cancer research efforts at UAB Children's Hospital.

If you would like to see if a name is available for your tag, you can go to the website www.ador.state.al.us/motorvehicle/search.html and search for possible tag names.

In order for this specialty tag to enter circulation, there must be 1,000 commitments to purchase it.

If you are interested, you need to go to your county tag office and complete a "Commitment to Purchase Form."
