Considering all the input from more than 45 community meetings, the “Yes we can, Dothan!” Group announced its strategic plan to the Dothan City School Board Monday night.

The message was clear from “Yes we can, Dothan!” representatives.

They say education is a shared responsibility between parents, students, school, and the community.

They add that phase one of their co-owned strategic plan reflects that.

Allyson Morgan of Dothan City Schools, says, "We have to make believer out of everybody in Dothan that all can graduate, that all students are capable of learning and students need to hear that from the community."

Matt Parker, President of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce says, “When People come look at community and see how involved all the leaders and the parents are it sets a tone for your community and it is the tone you want to set for your community to bring more investment in here."

The Dothan City School Board will vote on whether to adopt the strategic plan at its next meeting.
