Two people have been arrested on drug charges after a month-long investigation by the Houston County Sheriff's Department.
Thirty-two-year-old Jeffery Tharpe and 40-year-old Tonya King, both of Taylor, are charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of precursor chemicals and unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance.
Precursor chemicals are chemicals used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Authorities tell News 4 whey they raided a Landview Drive home, they seized precursor chemicals and finished meth with a street value of $3,000.
King has been released from jail on a $61,000 bond. At last report, Tharp was still in jail.
