Denton Road Bridge

Driving down Denton Road in Dothan has been difficult lately due to roadwork. City officials say you may have to be patient just a little longer.

City Traffic Engineer Charles Metzger says if the weather permits, he expects the majority of the roadwork to be completed by Friday.

Road crews have been busy removing and replacing the asphalt on Denton Road between the Circle and Westgate.

The project costs about $180,000, but the city pays only 20-percent of that. The federal government is footing the bill for the remaining 80-percent.

The City of Dothan is also planning road construction on Denton Road from Westgate to Flynn.
