Alabama Soldier's Funeral

About 500 mourners gathered to remember U.S. Army Sergeant Jason Jordan.

The 24-year-old Jordan died July 20 when his infantry patrol was ambushed in a rocket propelled grenade attack in a village in Tallifar.

Friends and family remembered Jordan as a dedicated soldier who was very proud of his southern roots.

Another Alabama soldier will be laid to rest today in Phenix City. He also died July 20 when the vehicle he was riding in overturned in Baghdad.

The 29-year-old Wiloughby was a member of the Georgia Army National Guard's 221st military intelligence battalion at Fort Gillem.
