Iraq Pictures

Donald Rumsfeld

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is defending his judgment in releasing bloody photos of two men identified as Saddam Hussein's sons.

Rumsfeld says it wasn't a snap decision, but it was the right decision. He adds he's glad he made it.

He says Pentagon legal experts tell him this is not a violation of the Geneva Convention.

The Defense Secretary says displaying the photos should convince Iraqis that Odai and Qusai Hussein were killed in a raid by U.S. troops.

Some Iraqis see the pictures of the bloodied, bearded men as a ruse.
