Watkins Arraignment

The man charged with the double slayings of two Enterprise women awaits his trial date.

Recently, Christopher Watkins appeared for his arraignment on the murders of Margo Donald and Betty Council.

The 25-year-old Coffee County man entered pleas of not guilty by reasons of mental anguish.

The two victims were shot outside a trailer in Enterprise last February. Each of the women were shot multiple times with a semi-automatic handgun.

The incident may have been drug related. Watkins was captured a short time after the murders. He's being held without bond.

If convicted of capital murder, he could face the death penalty.
