Ozark School Funding

City Councilman Trot Carroll wants to take leftover money from the new city hall project and give it to schools.

Two years ago, a bond for $2.1 million was issued for the new city hall and another project.

The other project was supposed to be a recreational complex.

But with the schools in financial trouble, Carroll thinks the money is better spent on education.

The leftover amount is about $750,000.

A work session is scheduled for Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. in Ozark City Hall.

Carroll encourages educators and anyone else interested in Ozark schools to attend.
