UPDATE: Authorities Continue Investigation of 4-Month Old Baby Poisoned

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation of the poisoning of a 4-month-old little boy from Freeport, Florida.

The latest information on the child is he is still in stable condition at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola and appears to be improving.

Investigators are continuing to conduct interviews to determine the source of the poison. At this time, additional information cannot be released due to the ongoing investigation.
FREEPORT, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating after a 4-month old baby was allegedly poisoned in the Florida Panhandle.

Walton County Sheriff's Office and state child welfare officials responded to a home in Freeport on Saturday after receiving reports that a baby boy was struggling to breathe.

The baby was airlifted to a Pensacola hospital and was on a ventilator Saturday. No other details were given.

Reports say it's unclear whether the poisoning was intentional or accidental.
