Voters return to the polls for runoff elections to determine the District 2 and District 6 representatives on the Dothan City Commission.

In District 2, 79-year-old John Glanton is seeking re-election. He has served on the commission since 1973.

He is being challenged by 70-year-old Amos Newsome. Newsome owns the real estate business Summit Investments and served as a Kinsey Town Council member before moving into Dothan's District 2.

He has served on the Dothan Planning Commission and the Citizens Supervisory Committee.

In District 6, Phillip Tidwell and Gary Martin face-off for the seat currently held by Matt Bullard.

Tidwell is 40-years-old and is co-owner of Southern Quest Construction.

He spent two years on the Dothan Planning Commission before stepping down to run for city commission.

61-year-old Martin served 26 years as Dothan's city engineer. He retired in February.

Polls close at 7 p.m.
