Georgia Pilot lands plane in Covington County cotton field
A Georgia man escaped injury when he was forced to land his single-engine plane in a cotton field in southeast Alabama.

ANDALUSIA, Ala. (AP) - A Georgia man escaped injury when he was forced to land his single-engine plane in a cotton field in southeast Alabama.
Covington County authorities said a plane piloted by 26-year-old Jonathan Lord of Columbus lost power and went down in the Babbie community.
It happened Thursday afternoon.
Lord suffered minor injuries.
The plane's landing gear was sheared off, but was otherwise intact.
