Construction crews began demolishing the old Dothan Regional Airport terminal Monday.
Airport officials say if you are flying out of the airport in the next few months, you can expect some delays.
Airport officials say there will be construction equipment in and out of the airport so passengers should take extra precaution and allow additional time when flying.
The building will be replaced by a new parking lot for car rentals and employee parking. The old terminal building was built in 1965.
One airport employee said she didn't think she'd be sad to see it go, but when they unloaded the equipment Friday, it brought back a lot of memories.
Officials say it should take three to four months to finish the project.
