Democrats are asking for a delay of the final vote on Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor's nomination to a federal appeals court. They say they need more time to question him about fund-raising activities.
But the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee says the group will vote Thursday on Pryor's nomination to the Eleventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta.
Pryor is one of the founders of a group that raises money for Republican attorneys general. Pryor has told the senate committee that he had NOT lobbied tobacco companies under investigation by his office.
But, Democrats say they have documents from the group showing Pryor may have been involved in some of the fund-raising activities he denied.
