At McGuire air force base in New Jersey, the weapon of choice to defend against birdstrikes, has feathers, razor sharp talons, and divebombs more than 2 hundred miles an hour.
It's actually a 9-year-old falcon named "Nantucket".
He's used to keep problem birds clear from air base runways and is one of ten falcons used on base.
One is released every hour to patrol the area and other birds eventually learn to stay away.
Bird strikes dropped eighty percent within the first year, and has stayed that was for more than a decade.
