A Wiregrass police department can now call themselves top gunmen of the area.
Police from Enterprise, Daleville, Geneva, Ozark and Fort Rucker, competed on Wednesday in a shooting contest that measured quickness and accuracy.
Sponsored by the city of Daleville, the event was part of Fort Rucker Appreciation Week.
The winner not only gets bragging rights for the year, but also a trophy naming them top gunmen.
"I think it's great. The surrounding community has always supported Fort Rucker and the soldiers here. This is just an extension of that, to come out here and have some good fun" says First Sergeant Bill Lane, for the 6th M.P. Detachment.
Geneva received all awards on Wednesday. They came in first in the team competition, and Officer Tony Helms won the Top Gun Award.
