Holloman Sentence

A former postal worker was sentenced to life without parole Wednesday.

James Holloman was convicted of killing one person and wounding two others during a shooting spree in Rehobeth three years ago.

Defense attorneys asked Judge Jerry White to spare Holloman's life.

Jurors recommended a life without parole sentence. But District Attorney Doug Valeska said Holloman deserved the death penalty.

Judge Jerry White followed the jury's recommendation and sentenced Holloman to life without parole. Right now, he's still being held in the Houston County Jail awaiting transfer to a state prison.

Only two members of the jury that convicted Holloman voted for the death penalty.
