Former Mayor Receives National Recognition

A former mayor of Enterprise receives national recognition.

Dr. Tim Alford resigned his post in December 2003 after being appointed by Governor Bob Riley as director of Alabama’s Workforce Development Program.

Alford is a lifetime educator.

Worldwide Interactive Network, a national publisher of training materials recently listed Alabama as the top workforce development agency in the country.

The magazine reported that Dr. Alford's leadership is a big reason for the success.

He is credited with forging a partnership between several state agencies and private Enterprise.
