Dothan Armed Robbery

arrest

Dothan Police arrested three would be robbery suspects Thursday morning and solved another crime in the process.

Three masked men armed with two rifles and a shotgun entered the Texaco Food Mart on the corner of Main Street and Odom Road around 3:30 a.m.

But, the clerk saw them coming, locked herself in the office and dialed 911.

Police spotted the suspects vehicle as they tried to flee the scene and pulled them over.

Nineteen-year-old Joshua Carr, 20-year-old Michael Wiley and 18-year-old Jessie Brooks have all been charged with robbery first degree.

Police say the suspects also face burglary charges because the two rifles used in the robbery were stolen last week from a Dothan pawnshop.
