North Korea and the U-S have agreed to resume talks on recovering the remains of American troops killed in the Korean War.
The talks open Thursday in Bangkok. They're expected to last two or three days.
The US wanted to open talks on logistical and other arrangements late last year, but the dialogue ended after North Korea revealed that it has a nuclear weapons program.
More than 8,000 American troops are listed as unaccounted for from the Korean War, which ended 50 years ago this month.
North Korea first allowed US forensics experts to search for remains in 1996. Since then, 178 remains believed to be those of American servicemen have been recovered. Only 14 have been positively identified as Americans.
