Friday, Alabama Governor Bob Riley awarded a grant to Troy University's Nursing Program.
The grant will allow the school to purchase two life-sized computerized mannequins, capable of simulating illnesses.
Students will be required to accurately diagnose symptoms displayed by the dummies, and provide appropriate treatment.
The simulators will be available for training on several Troy campuses in Southeast and Central Alabama.
