Slocomb Break In

A break in at a Wiregrass business has resulted in near financial disaster for the owners.

Michael Raxter says someone drove a vehicle through the backdoor of his Slocomb auto body shop. It happened somewhere between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. Monday morning.

The thief or thieves knew exactly what to look for.

About $7,000 worth of tools were stolen. Also, a car stereo system was ripped out of a customer's car.

Raxter's father first opened the business 20 years ago. He says it's like starting all over again.

Authorities are asking for your help. If anyone saw any suspicious activity around Raxter's Auto Body early Monday morning, please call the Slocomb Police Department at 886-3333.
