Do Not Call Reaction

More and more American consumers are putting telemarketers on permanent hold.

More than ten million phone numbers have registered with the new federal Do Not Call list in the first four days of the program.

The Federal Trade Commission says that's 158 numbers being signed up every second, a response the agency calls phenomenal.

Enforcement of the Do Not Call list will begin in October.
