Toddler Death

The death of a Barbour County toddler is now being treated as a possible murder. Investigators are calling the case of two-year-old Alexander Binion suspicious.

The boy was found dead by his mother in their home on Barbour County Road 25 on June 11.

Barbour County's coroner says the case was originally treated as a natural death until an autopsy revealed the child died from internal injuries.

A district attorney's office investigator says the boy was apparently struck in the stomach and now the child's death is considered a homicide.

The sheriff's office is also investigating the case.
