Wednesday was the kickoff for the annual Alzheimer’s Walk to Remember. It was a chance to encourage involvement in the event.
During Wednesday's luncheon, organizers explained how businesses can get a team together to join in the walk.
Alzheimer's is a degenerative disease of the brain that robs its victims of their memory and cognitive abilities.
It's the fourth leading cause of death among adults.
This year's Walk to Remember will be held on Saturday October 7th at 8:45.
Everyone is invited to come and walk at Westgate Park.
There is a minimum donation of $10 per walker.
All proceeds will benefit Alzheimer’s research.
