What's next when it comes to consolidating Dothan’s two high schools?
First, school officials have to get a court approval for consolidation. Then there has to enough money.
With new buildings, renovations and new teachers, the plan is expected to cost between $2 and $3 million.
“It's a great plan it incorporates all schools and that's the sad part there's so many more things that are involved other than the school consolidation that will help our children at an earlier age,” said Gayla White of School Board Member.
The school board has set an April deadline to vote on the strategic plan.
