Armed Robbery Update

The Dothan Police Department is working with Birmingham Police to investigate some new leads in the armed robbery of a Dothan department store.

Birmingham Police also have video of a similar crime and they're trying to determine if the two cases are related.

The Big Lots Store in Dothan was held-up Saturday night.

Police say a man hid somewhere in the store, then confronted the manager and a clerk with a gun after the store closed.

The workers were taken to the office and forced to hand over an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the robbery in Birmingham was almost identical and investigators from both cities are now working together to solve the crimes

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that puts the gunman behind bars.

If you have information, call Crimestoppers at 793-7000.
