Ozark leaders say the War on Terror and hurricane damage is keeping them from finishing the city's airport expansion.
Officials say the city could face a year's wait on completing the job because the Federal Aviation Administration said it has no more money after increasing airport security and repairing hurricane damaged airports.
City leaders say as soon as the airport is complete it will have an instant impact on the city.
It's a huge investment in the community, lots of great jobs in the community and who knows how many other jobs,” said Ozark Mayor Bob Bunting.
City leaders say there is still a chance the city will receive some money from the government.
