A Houston County woman on trial following a shooting rampage has been found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
Starla Money was charged with reckless endangerment.
She was accused of firing a gun randomly in her Grangerburg home in May of last year.
That led to a seven-hour stand off with police before she finally surrendered.
The defense contended Money suffers from mental illness. A jury agreed after deliberating about 45 minutes.
Judge Jerry White ordered Money take her medication, avoid alcohol and other drugs and to attend counseling.
Otherwise, Money could be committed to a state mental health facility.
