A jury has recommended life in prison without parole for a former postal worker convicted of capital murder in Dothan.
James Holloman was accused of entering a home in Rehobeth and killing his father-in-law, wounding his mother-in-law and another man, and kidnapping his estranged wife at gunpoint in May of 2000.
Jurors deliberated about 90 minutes Tuesday before finding Holloman guilty.
That same jury took another hour and a half to decide that Holloman should spend the rest of his life behind bars.
The victim’s family, however, wanted the death penalty.
Judge Jerry White will make the final decision on what will happen to Holloman.
A sentencing date will be set later.
