Major Airlines Offering Sales Heading into Slow Fall Season

ATLANTA (AP) - Several major airlines are offering fare sales on
select leisure routes heading into the traditionally slow early
fall season.

Chicago-based United Airlines, the nation's Number Two carrier, is offering discounted fares between certain U-S cities for tickets purchased by August 18th. Those tickets must be used for travel between August 22nd and November 16th.United also is offering discounts on certain international routes. Advance purchases are required.

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines, the nation's Number Three carrier, is offering one-way fares from 49 to 129 dollars between Atlanta and select U-S cities. Those tickets must be purchased by tomorrow and used between August 15th and November 16th. The fares aren't available for travel on Fridays and Sundays.

Fort Worth-based American Airlines and Phoenix-based U-S Airways also are offering fare sales on select domestic leisure routes for travel this weekend or next weekend, depending on the carrier.
