Closing arguments begin Tuesday in Dothan in the capital murder trial of a former postal worker, and a verdict could come as early as this afternoon.
James Holloman is accused of killing his father-in-law, wounding his mother-in-law and another man, and kidnapping his estranged wife at gunpoint.
It happened in May of 2000.
The woman was later released unharmed when Holloman contacted authorities and surrendered.

But, Judge Jerry White tossed out the first-degree kidnapping charge Friday on the grounds that prosecutors proved only second degree kidnapping because the woman was released unharmed.
